Poured Out For Africa

Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.

Vision Statement

The vision of this ministry has three primary segments. The vision, Lord willing, will ultimately touch the entire continent of Africa! Due to the importance of establishing the scriptural mandate for this vision, Bible passages will be placed under each segment.

1) Reach the lost in many countries in Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples.

There is a spiritual reality and phenomenon that must be identified and addressed.

God resists the proud and draws near to the humble (James 4:6). In many countries in Africa the people have been humbled by drought, famine, disease, wars, genocide, etc.

In many countries in Africa there is a humility that is associated with this suffering. As a result---across large segments of societies in many African countries God is drawing near to large numbers of these humbled and destitute souls! He is sending laborers to go to them with the glorious gospel and we at Poured Out For Africa are answering the call! They are open to the gospel of Jesus Christ and He is saving them by the millions!

It is imperative that we address the need for these precious souls in Africa to be saved and to then make them vibrant disciples. What good is it if we provide for them clean water, food, and a better life in this life only for them to go to the lake of fire in the next life?

Matthew 28:18-20:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 18:11
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
2 Corinthians 5:20,21:
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2) Care for and train up orphans in many African countries in the admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The overwhelming number of orphans in Africa from famine and drought, AIDS and other diseases, genocide, war, etc. is certainly heartbreaking. We have a mandate as believers in Jesus to do all we can to go to them and be a blessing!

The vision is not only to feed and cloth them, but to also make sure they are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ and raised up in the admonition of the Lord! We know the orphans of Africa are a target for Islam and we also know that our Father’s will is for them to know and follow Jesus Christ!

These orphans can be raised to beauty from ashes so that not only are they not a burden to Africa, but part of the solution in that they will be raised up to teach others in Africa the gospel of Jesus Christ!

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Psalm 68:5
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation.
Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.

3) Care for and help widows in many African countries with the love of Jesus Christ.

Like the orphans the numbers of widows from the same tragedies are also overwhelming! As with the orphans there is a similar Biblical mandate to go to them with blessing, comfort, and assistance!

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
1 Timothy 5:3
Honor widows who are really widows.
Psalm 68:5
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.
