VISION STATEMENT AND MISSION STATEMENT PRESENTATION BY PASTOR DON SCHWARZ
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POURED OUT FOR AFRICA
INTRODUCTION
I am the Executive Director of a gospel ministry called Poured Out For Africa. Poured Out For Africa exists to give many in the body of Christ, including Christian businesses, an opportunity to participate in the Kingdom work in Africa.
VISION STATEMENT
The Lord Jesus inserted Himself into one of my days many years ago. The purpose was to remind me that pure and undefiled religion helps orphans in their time of trouble. At that time I knew no orphans or care takers of orphans.
Since that time He has cultivated wonderful relationships with special Pastors and the orphans whom they serve in Africa. One such relationship is with Pastor Muhoza Lewi who is a Congolese with dual citizenship where he lives and ministers in Rwanda along with the DR Congo. With the help of our Kingdom partners, we plan to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit to found an orphan facility in Rwanda for the purpose of restoration of these precious souls according to the will of God.
As the Lord would have it I am also the Assistant Director of the First Baptist Church Pearland Kenya Orphanage. This is the first fruits of the vision in that we have established a one hundred and twenty bed orphan facility in Kenya as a result of the vision the Lord has given me to minister to orphans.
We have learned much over the last four years regarding the necessary details to bring good stewardship and daily faithful operation to such a Kingdom endeavor.
I now believe it is time to reproduce and multiply in that there are so many orphans who need our godly help. So now is the time to plant orphan villages with well educated children so these precious souls will become devoted, equipped, and educated followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rwanda, most well known for the Genocide in 1994, is now one of the most stable countries in Africa and a perfect place for an orphan village of restoration. The government there is willing to donate land as long as we submit and implement an acceptable plan. The initial ground-breaking and then ongoing needs will be great. But I am confident that the Father to the fatherless will raise up faithful partners to assist us in this noble work.
MISSION STATEMENT
The foundation of the mission is to raise the children to no longer be orphans, but according to Psalm 68:5 that they, through salvation and discipleship in Jesus Christ and His word, would be blessed children of our Father in heaven. Our plan is to train godly children who can be a light to Rwanda, Greater Africa, and even the world. This would also include academic education and at least one trade that would be useful to help each child to become an asset to Rwandan society.
The map for this unfolding project will be a two, five, and ten year plan that will begin with thirty orphans and the necessary facilities for their housing, discipleship, education, dining, recreation etc. The village will expand through the time frame and established goals required during each stage.
